Martin Parr spent 4 years documenting the Black Country, from 2010 and finishing in 2014. 'West Bromwich' is from the 'Black Country Stories' photobook – published to coincide with the Black Country Stories exhibition at The New Art Gallery Walsall and Wolverhampton Art Gallery. One particular focus of the series is on portraiture. This is Norman Soper who won Best Pot Leek at Sandwell Show.
